R. Alling, 730 East Main street. She had been in very poor health for several months. Deceased leaves three children, two daughters and one son, who mourn her death greatly. She was a good and kind woman, was born in the city of Mabr, Tyrhone county, Ireland, Feb. 26, 1823 and came to America when 19 years of age. In 1850 she was married to John F. Ayers of Camden, New Jersey, and in 1852 they came to Michigan, settling in Gratiot county, near Carson City. Mr. Ayers enlisted for the Civil war, went to the front and served his country faithfully, dying in 1864 while in the army. In 1882 deceased married Geo. Keefer, and became a resident of Portland, until his death, which occurred some six years ago. She then came to Ionia to make her home with her daughter.
