He had been in failing health three years and was growing worse rapidly the last few weeks. Friday afternoon at 4 o’clock he suffered a sinking spell from which he did not rally. He had not yet been operated on. Funeral services will be conducted at the home Monday afternoon at 1:30, by Dr. John H. Stewart, of Portland. Burial will be in Keefer cemetery, which bears the family name. Surviving are the widow, formerly Miss Sadie Perrett, to whom he was married 38 years ago; one daughter, Reva, at home; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Naldratt, Alma; Mrs. Ida Knudsen, Grand Rapids; two brothers, Sherman, of Lyons, and Wilson, of Orange. Mr. Keefer had always been a farmer of Orange.
