Mrs. Eva Keefer, 81, of 527 East Main street died suddenly Sunday morning at 
5:45 at the Ionia County Memorial Hospital, where she has been a patient for 
two days. 

She was born January 31, 1873 in Orange township and had been a resident of 
Ionia for the past 35 years.  Her husband, Albert, preceded her in death in 
1935 and two sons Floyd and Earl died several years ago.

Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Arthur Johnson of Plymouth, Mrs. Bertha Baldwin 
of Breckenridge, seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.  

She was a member of the First Christian church.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 o’clock at Myers funeral home 
with the Rev. Court O. Adams officiating.  Interment will be in the mausoleum 
in Highland Park cemetery.

Funeral services for Mrs. Eva Keefer, 81, who died Sunday morning at the Ionia 
County Memorial Hospital, were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at Myers 
funeral home.  The Rev. Court O. Adams officiated.  Interment was in the 
Highland Park mausoleum.

Six grandsons who acted as pallbearers were Gerald, Basil, Bernard and Wayne 
Keefer, Frank Tuck and Floyd Mulnix.

Those attending the services from away were Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Keefer and 
Basil Keefer of Lansing, Mrs. Bessie Keefer and Mr. and Mrs. Donald May of 
Portland, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Keefer of Okemos, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Mulnix of 
Saranac, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Tuck of Wheeler, Mr. and Mrs. John Baldwin and Mrs. 
Bertha Baldwin of Breckenridge, Arthur and Theodore Johnson of Plymouth, and 
Mr. and Mrs. Leo Ferris of Lyons.
