Keena, 78, of Tawas City, passed away Sunday, Jan. 26, 2003, at his home. He was born Sept. 16, 1924, in Belding, the son of Henry and Margaret Keena. Mr. Keena worked as a cost accountant for Gibson Refrigerator Co. in Greenville. He also retired as a supervisor for Extruded Metals and Detroit Gasket Co. after working there for many years. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Tawas and a member of the American Legion for more than 50 years. He was a veteran of World War II, serving occupations in France, the Philippines and Japan. He is survived by his wife, Mary Keena, to whom he was married for 53 years; two daughters and sons-in-law, Dr. Diana and Steven Ennes of East Tawas, Marlene and Keith Tap of Lombard, Ill.; five grandchildren; and several cousins. A family service is Thursday evening at Jacques and Kobs Funeral Home, Tawas City. Interment is in Whitney-Sims Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association or to the charity of one’s choice. Arrangements are by Jacques and Kobs Funeral Home, Tawas City.
