Old Resident of Pewamo Dead

Pewamo, Mich., April 18 – The funeral of David Keister, who died suddenly Sunday
morning, aged 65 years, was held from the Methodist church yesterday.  The
deceased has been a continuous resident of Pewamo for over 30 years, and has
always been one of her most respected citizens.  He was a member of Company K,
Fortieth Ohio Volunteer infantry from 1861 til 1865 – and participated in over
40 engagements.  He is survived by a wife and six children.

[Transcriber's Note:  There is a notation on the obituary card that he was
buried in the old Pewamo Cemetery.]
