The deceased has been a continuous resident of Pewamo for over 30 years, and has always been one of her most respected citizens. He was a member of Company K, Fortieth Ohio Volunteer infantry from 1861 til 1865 – and participated in over 40 engagements. He is survived by a wife and six children.
