She had suffered a stroke shortly after Christmas and another just prior to her death. She came to Ionia with her parents, Daniel and Mary Campau, in 1903. She married C.B. Keister whose father, Fred Keister I, founder of Ionia County News. Her husband preceded her in death in 1951. She and her husband had owned and operated a weekly newspaper at Hazel Park then bought and operated a newspaper at Middleville. Following the death of her husband she bought a radio station in Hillsdale which she and her son operated a few years before selling it to begin a new radio station at Martinsville, Ind., which she and her son operated at the time of her death. Surviving are the son, David Keister of Martinsville; four grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Kenneth McGregor of Birmingham and Mrs. Glenn Bradley of Washington, D.C.; two brothers Harry Campau of Holland and Gordon of Grand Rapids. Graveside services will be Friday at 1 pm Oak Hill cemetery, Ionia. Rev. Jack Richards of First Congregational church of Ada will officiate. Funeral arrangements were made by Leddick funeral home.
