Mrs. Ella Degarmo Keller of Highland, formerly of Lyons township, northwest of
Muir was reported Friday to be ill at her home and had lapsed into a coma
Thursday evening.  She has been ill for some time and seriously for three weeks,
ten days of which she was in the Pontiac General hospital.  Mrs. Earl Clark of
Florida is caring for Mrs. Keller and Mrs. Keller’s mother, Mrs. Elizabeth
Taylor who will be 107 years old, December 15.  Mrs. Taylor is in good health
except that her hearing and sight is impaired. Mrs. Keller is a life member of
the Evergreen chapter OES of Lyons and received her 50 year pin some time ago.

Mrs. Ella Degarmo Keller died Sunday at her home in Highland at the age of 87. 
She had been ill for some time and seriously ill for about three weeks.  She was
born on a farm in Highland township and later married John DeGarmo and they
lived for years in Lyons township northwest of Muir.  Mr. DeGarmo died about 22
years ago and she went to Highland to live with her mother, Mrs. Eliza Beaumont
Taylor who will be 107 years old December 15.  Later she was married to Frank
Keller of Highland who passed away about two years ago.  She was a member of the
Congregational church in Highland and of Evergreen chapter OES of Lyons and had
received her life membership and her 50 year pin in the chapter.  Services will
be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Highland Congregational church with burial
at Highland cemetery.
