Excerpts from Grand Rapids Obituary

PHILIP M. KELLER
Died Monday February 28, 2022-age 74 of Portland,MI.
Formerly of Sparta, MI.
Born June 1, 1947 in Grand Rapids to George & Crystal (Race) Keller.
Obtained his Bachelor's Degree from Bake College in Muskegon.
Was employed with the Grand Rapids Police department.
Served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam.
Married Nancy L. Traxler on June 27, 1970 in Sparta.
Phil obtained his Pilot license & was involved with Sparta Aviation.
Taught Early Childhood Development courses at Muskegon Community College, while 
working on his masters Degree in Social Work from Western Michigan University.
Both were active members of the Holy Family Catholic Church.
Phil enjoyed teaching gun safety & was a concealed weapons license instructor.
Phil is survived by his wife, Nancy Keller; two daughters,LeAnn (Matthew) Meyers 
and Lindsay (Mika) Hulliberger; four grandchildren,Kurtis Meyers and his 
girlfriend Megan Meyers, Mikaela and Lydia Hulliberger; several nieces & 
nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents and brother, Darryl Keller.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at a later date, to be announced from Holy 
Family Catholic Church with Msgr.Terrance L. Stewart presiding.
Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Sparta,MI.
The family would like to express their heart felt gratitude for the care from 
Yuanbin Chen MD & the nursing staff at the Lemmen-Holton Cancer Pavilion.
Memorial contributions may be given to Holy family Catholic Church, 425 S.State 
St.Sparta,MI 49345 or the Lemmen-Holton Cancer Pavilion,145 Michigan St., SE. 
Grand Rapids, MI. 49503.
