Kelly Passed Away Friday Morning At Home of Daughter, Mrs. Roy W. Dawdy Mrs. Elsie A. Kelley, 76, widow of the late Charles Kelley, died last Friday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Roy W. Dawdy, following a stroke suffered one week previous. Funeral services were held Sunday at the home, in charge of Rev. W. H. Irwin, pastor of the Methodist church of which she was a member, assisted by Rev. H. W. Ellinger, of Kalamazoo, and Rev. Winn, of Freeport, both old friends of the family. Mrs. Kelley was the widow of the late Charles Kelley, who died about 15 years ago. Her maiden name was Elsie VanHouten and she came to Sebewa with her parents when a young girl. After her marriage to Mr. Kelley the couple continued to reside on a farm there until they moved to Portland shortly before the death of Mr. Kelley, since which time Mrs. Kelley has made her home with her daughter. Besides the daughter, Mrs. Dawdy, she is survived by four brothers, Charles VanHouten, of Portland; Daniel, of Woodbury; John and George, of Edmore. Among those from a distance to attend the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. C. D. Tomy, Detroit; Stanley and George VanHouten, Grand Rapids; Mr. and Mrs. Clyde VanHouten and John VanHouten, Edmore; Mr. and Mrs. Harrison Brook, Edmore; W.F. Alberts and son, Dempster, McBrides; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Kelly, Muskegon; Mr. and Mrs. Arlo VanHouten, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Seegar and Chas. Estep, Lansing; Mr. and Mrs. Lade, Grand Ledge; Mrs. Nellie Morse and son, Dr. George Morse, Lake Odessa.
