Mr. Kelley was a native of New York, born in 1816; was a student at the Geneva Medical college and subsequently graduated at Cleveland. Came to Lyons in 1852. He served during the late war of the rebellion as captain in an Illinois regiment. As a physician he had for many years a large and lucrative practice and accumulated considerable property. In connection with his practice he carried on the drug business. For two years past his home has been at Carson City, where he was engaged in the drug business with his son-in-law, George Cadwell. ---- April 29, 1898.
