Ionia Sentinel Standard, 2 Apr 1991

Leone Kelley, 86, of Muir, died Sunday at Ionia County Memorial Hospital.  She 
was born March 14, 1905, in Elsie, the daughter of Coral and Vern Allen.  She 
was graduated from Ovid High School and Kalamazoo College, and later worked at 
the Detroit Creamery Co. in Ovid.

She was married to Hugh Kelley in September 1934 and later helped her husband 
operated their grocery store in Lyons until 1956.  Subsequently she was 
employed at Chrysler Trim Plant in Lyons until she retired.  She was a life 
member of Lyons-Muir VFW No. 4646 Auxiliary, Lyons-Muir chapter, Order of the 
Eastern Star, and was a member of the Lyons United Methodist Church.

Surviving is a niece, Patricia Purves of Owosso.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. from Lyons United Methodist Church, 
the Rev. Scott Otis officiating.  Burial will be in Lyons Cemetery.  Memorials 
have been established for the Lyons United Methodist Church and the Lyons-Muir 
VFW Auxiliary, in care of Hull Memorial Chapel, which made arrangements.
