DOD: Wednesday, 13 October 1954 Ionia Sentinel Standard – Thursday, 14 October 1954 Frank A. Kelley, 66, of 857 West Main Street died unexpectedly Wednesday evening at 6:50 at the Ionia County Memorial Hospital. He was born in Muir, January l, 1888, the son of Charles and Mary Kelley. He was married to Minnie Jahnke in Canada, October 21, 1911. They lived their entire married lives in Ionia except for two years in Detroit over 40 years ago. He was a member of the SS. Peter and Paul church and of the holy Name Society. He was also a member of the Ionia County Hunting and Fishing club. Surviving are his wife, Minnie; one daughter, Mrs. Ronald Burrows of Ionia; two sons, Richard and Charles of Ionia; six grandchildren; one brother, James Kelley of Muir and two sisters, Mrs. Frank Esch of Muir and Mrs. Katherine Kistler of Ionia. One son Frank Jr., died in infancy several years ago. Rosary will be recited Friday evening at 8 o’clock at the family home on West Main Street. Requiem Mass will be sung Saturday morning at 10 o’clock at SS. Peter and Paul church. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet cemetery.
