Burlie Door Kelley, 81, died this morning at University Hospital, Ann Arbor, 
after  a year’s illness. She was born in Ionia County, July 30, 1875 and was a 
former resident of Belding.  In 1894 she was married to Foster Door.  They 
lived in Ionia County until 1903 when they moved to Lake City.  He died in 
1921.  In 1926 she married James W. Kelley and lived in Shepherd until 1945.  
They moved to Strickland where Mr. Kelley died in 1955.  Mrs. Kelley was a 
member of Strickland Methodist Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. John Goodwin, Shepherd, and two sons, Harold M. 
Door, professor at University of Michigan, and Edwin Door, Merritt.  There are 
five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

The body will arrive at Ellis Funeral Home Tuesday afternoon where services 
will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m.  The Rev. Kinkle of Strickland will officiate 
and burial will be in Green’s Cemetery.
