The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, February 5, 1973
Gordon Eugene Kelley, 69, died Friday in Lakeland, Florida.  He was born June 
20, 1903 in Lyons, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh D. Kelley.  

A graduate of Lyons high school, he also graduated from a college of mortuary 
in Cincinnati, Ohio.  He was married to the former Doris Lewis of Elsie, who 
survives.  He owned and operated a funeral parlor at Elsie.  He later sold his 
business and purchased a funeral home in Gladstone in the upper peninsula 
which he operated until he illness.  He sold the business and retired, moving 
to Lakeland, Florida.

Surviving besides the wife are two sons, Gilbert at Manistique; Rodney of Big 
Rapids; one sister, Mrs. Helen Carter of Elsie; two brothers, Hugh M. Kelley 
of Lyons; John Kelley of Kalamazoo; two grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Tuesday t 2 p.m. at Carter funeral home in Elsie.  
Burial will be in Elsie cemetery.
