Mr. Kelly was born and reared in Ionia. He grew to manhood here and in early life took to railroading, being first employed on the old D. L. & N. between Ionia and Detroit. He left Ionia 20 years ago and at the time of his death was in the employ of the Grand Trunk railway as trainmaster and lived with his family at Duran. Mr. Kelly was a young man of 44 years and is survived by a wife, who was Miss Mary Ryan of Ionia, and two daughters, Marie, aged 16, and Lillian, aged 19. He also leaves four brothers, Ed. and Dan of Grand Rapids, John of Elkhart, Ind., Will of Detroit, and one sister, Mrs. Frank Zang of Battle Creek. The remains will be brought to Ionia on Saturday morning and the service held in the Church of SS. Peter & Paul; interment of Mt. Olivet cemetery. Daniel Kelly, brother and the widow arrived at noon to make the arrangements for the funeral, returning this afternoon to Grand Rapids.
