The Ionia Standard, Friday, June 29, 1883

While Daniel Kelly, son of John Kelly of this city, was coupling cars at Reed 
City Saturday morning, he was caught between the bumpers and killed.  His 
remains were brought to Ionia and interred in the Catholic cemetery Monday 
morning.
