BRIAN JAMES KELLY

Died April 12, 2026, age 72 of Saranac.
Born December 4, 1953 in Grand Rapids,Mi, son of Robert James & Janice Rae 
(Cahoon) Kelly.
Attended Saranac Community Schools, graduating with class of 1972.
Married Elizabeth A. Kauffman on Friday the 13th of July 1973.
Brian worked at General Motors as an electrician for many years.
He coached Baseball & Football at the High school level in Saranac.
He enjoyed playing golf.
Survived by his wife, Elizabeth Kelly of Saranac, his 2 children, son, Michael 
(Rachel) Kelly of Houston,Missouri & daughter, Erin (Alan) Buckowing of 
Middleville, His adorable grandchildren, Aiden Kelly, Tyler Kelly, Keira Kelly, 
& Rowan Buckowing. Brother Patrick Kelly of Hudsonville, Brothers & Sisters-in-
law, Teri (Al) Bush of Crystal, Susan (Richard) Dues of Lowell Jerry 
(Connie)Kauffman of Saranac & Georgienne Hammer, best friend, Mike Swiger. 
Several nieces & nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents, Robert & Janice Kelly, brother, Michael, 
Uncle, Rex Cahoon.
Cremation has taken place & there will be a Memorial Visitation at the Lake 
Funeral Home in Saranac on Thursday, April 16th from 5-8PM. 
Those wishing may make a memorial contribution to the Saranac Community Fire 
Department.
