Sentinel-Std - Tuesday, Jan. 16, 1979

Saranac- Michael R. Kelley, 21, of 240 Clover Lane, Saranac, died Sunday at 
Butterworth hospital.

Kelly was born October 24, 1957 in Grand Rapids to Robert and Janice (Cahoon) 
Kelly.

He attended Saranac schools and during the years 1975 and 76 he made all 
conference in varsity football. He served with the US Navy for two years and 
had been stationed in Virginia, Tennessee and Nevada.

Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Kelley of Saranac, 
grandmother, Mrs. Iva Cahoon of Saranac, grandfather, Vincent Kelly of Lowell, 
two brothers, Mr. and Mrs. Brian James Kelly of East Grand Rapids and Patrick 
O. Kelly of Kentwood.

Funeral service will be Wednesday at 1 pm at the Galilee Baptist church with 
Rev. James Frank officiating. Burial will be in the Saranac cemetery.

The family will be at the Roetman-Lake funeral home, Saranac, this evening 
(Tuesday) from 7 to 8:30 pm.

Contributions may be left at the funeral home for the Galilee Baptist church.
