Kelsey, aged 14 years. In the mysterious death of young Kelsey, society, as well as his family has sustained an irreparable loss. Few of his age have possessed such a rare combination of excellencies, or have given such bright promise of the future. He was a dutiful and loving son and an affectionate brother. In the school he was a favorite with his fellow students and beloved by his teacher. He was an excellent scholar, diligent in the pursuit of knowledge, in which he made uncommon attainments for one so young. Above all he was a Christian from his earliest years and took an active part in the Student’s Christian association, of which he was a member. Though his death has created a void in many hearts which cannot be filled he has left a noble example which still lives and will shed its influence around us to the end of time.
