Ruth Viola Kemp age 101 of Ionia passed away January 12, 2021 in Ionia. She was 
born August 25, 1919 in Blanchard, MI, the daughter of Michael and Jeanette 
(Frisbee) Farrell. Ruth married Harold R. Kemp Sr. February 22, 1944. He 
preceded her in death on December 11, 1989.

Ruth was a member of the VFW Auxiliary 4646 in Lyons. She enjoyed Bingo and 
gambling.

Ruth is survived by her sons, Gregory (Catherine) Kemp of Ionia, Dave 
(Cassandra) Kemp of Muir, Harold (Emily) Kemp of Dewitt, Michael Kemp of 
Mulliken, Steven (Betty Jo) Kemp of Muir and Robert Kemp of Ionia; 12 
grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, husband and daughter-in-law Kathy 
Kemp.

Private funeral services will be held at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia. Online
