Kendall will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Boynton funeral home with Rev. Lowell Young of First Baptist church, officiating and interment in Palo cemetery. Mr. Kendall, 73, of 512 West Washington, died Wednesday afternoon in Ionia County Memorial hospital after being a patient five days. He was born in Pewamo, March 20, 1893, the son of Llwellyn and Cornelia Kendall. Moving to a farm near Palo, he attended Palo schools. After finishing school he was an employee of Grand Trunk railroad in Ionia and then took a position with a hardware store in Detroit four years. March 13, 1915,he married Blanch Hill in Ionia and [they made] their home on a farm near Palo and lived in this area the rest of his life. Two years ago Mr. and Mrs. Kendall celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They owned and operated the Kendall orchard southwest of Palo 30 years, during which time he worked in a manufaturing plant in Grand Rpaids, Gibson's in Greenville, General Motors in Flint and Ionia Manufacturing company. He retired from the Ionia plant in 1959. Mr. and Mrs. Kendall spent their winters in Plant City, Fla., for the past 10 years. Mr. Kendall was a member of the First Baptist church and Snows Corners Farm Bureau. Surviving beside his wife , Blanch are two daughters, Mrs. Donald Faulkner and Mrs. Ferd Tafel Jr., and two grandchildren; two brothers and one sister preceded him in death.
