The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Monday, April 22, 1963


Prayer service was held Friday at 8:30 a.m. for Roy E. Kendall, 78, of 832 West 
Main street followed by Requiem High Mass at SS Peter and Paul church.  The 
Rev. Thomas Schiller sang the mass at 9 a.m.  Burial was at Mt. Olivet cemetery.

Bearers were Herman Smith Sr., Russell Breckon, Robert Whitmore, Edwin 
Whitmore, William Whitmore and Grant Whitmore.

Attending from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Wilson and family, Mr. and 
Mrs. Edwin Whitmore and family, and Mr. and Mrs. Morris Whitmore of Shepherd; 
Mr. and Mrs. William Whitmore and Mr. and Mrs. George Whitmore of Fenwick, Mr. 
and Mrs. Jack Smith and family, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Jones and family and Mr. and 
Mrs. Robert Whitmore and family of Greenville; Mr. and Mrs. Grant Whitmore and 
Mr. and Mrs. Edward Dargis of Lansing, Mrs. Bert Preece and Mrs. Dana Tucker of 
Detroit; Mr. and Mrs. John Spotts of Portland, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Staley of 
Gaylord and Mr. and Mrs. Dale Heath of Flint.
