Ionia - Jess F. (Jake" Kendall, 91, of Ronald Township died Monday, July 18, 
1994 at Ionia County Memorial Hospital.

He was born July 20, 1902, in Ronald Township where he lived his entire life. 
He was the son of Fred and Jesse (Forbes) Kendall and was a graduate of Palo 
High School.  He married Elsie V. Griswold July 3, 1925 in Ionia.

Mr. Kendall was a member of the Palo United Methodist Church and a farmer most 
of his life. He was a life member of the Pearl Lake Masonic Lodge #203 of 
Sheridan.

He is survived by two sisters-in-law, Eunice Blank of St. Johns and Ruth 
Griswold of Palo; one brother-in-law, Leonard Cunningham of Fenwick; several 
nieces and nephews.

He was preceded by his wife, Elsie on April 1, 1988; his parents; and several 
brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be at the Rich St. Chapel of Cook Funeral Home on Wednesday 
from 2-4 and 7-8:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday 
at the Palo United Methodist Church. The Rev. Howard Harvey will officiate. 
Interment will be in Palo Cemeetery.
