Kendall, 81, died suddenly Thursday morning at 9 o'clock at the home of his son, Jesse, of Ronald township with whom he had been making his home. He was born May 9, 1867, at Kendallville, Montcalm county. the town of his birth was named after his father. A the age of six years he moved to Ionia county with his parents. He later married Jessie Forbes, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Forbes, of Ingham county. they lived on several farms during his 75 years of residence in this county and for the past 40 years had resided on the farm where he died. Mr. Kendall was a member of Palo lodge No. 203, F&AM He is survived by his two daughters, Mrs. Alta Gould of Granger, Ind., and mrs. Mary Phillips of VanNuys, Calif.; three sons, Forbes of Grand Rapids, Jesse F. of Ronald township and Malcolm of Palo; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jessie, three sons, Frank, Elmer and Miles and a bother, Lewellyn Kendall of Palo. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clocl at the home of Jesse Kendall, Route 1. Interment wll be in Palo cemetery.
