Robert Carrol Kennedy of Ionia, age 70, passed away on Sunday, March 4, 2012 at 
Eaton Palliative Care in Charlotte.

He was born on Sept. 29, 1941 in Ionia, the son of Carroll and Laila (Anderson) 
Kennedy. Mr. Kennedy worked at Todd & Ross Mobile, GenCorp (for 30 years), and 
First Bank. Bob enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing, picking asparagus, and was a 
diehard MSU fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Janet (Morey) Kennedy; three daughters, 
Barb (Kris) Haskins, Lyn (Bernie) Ardis, and Wendy (Greg) Wehler; seven 
grandchildren, Kyle (Krissy) Haskins, Amber (Mike) Folkert, Hillary (Brian) 
Vamstad, Dalton Wehler, Ryleigh Wehler, Jason Ardis, and Bernie (Andrea) Ardis 
II; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Patricia Gustafson; several nieces and 
nephews.

The Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at Lehman 
Funeral Homes, 220 Rich Street, Ionia, with Pastor Bert Nelson of Lyons-Muir 
Church presiding. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 
Ionia. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral 
home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Eaton Community 
Palliative Care, 2675 South Cochran Road, Charlotte, MI 48813, in memory of
