Pat was born on September 3, 1940 in Belding, the daughter of Samuel and Pauline (Stratton) Raby. She graduated with honors from Belding High School with the class of 1958. She later worked in the service department at Gibsons/Electrolux for 34 years, retiring in 1999. Pat was a past member of the Flat River Drift Busters Club and a current member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Belding American Legion Post 203. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, an occasional trip to the casino, loved gardening and growing flowers as well as watching the hummingbirds. Pat loved spending time with her family and friends, especially when they were camping. She was married on December 12, 1959 in Belding to Dale Kennedy, who preceded her in death along with her father and one son; Donald. For the last 5 1/2 years Pat has courageously fought colon cancer and throughout her battle maintained a very positive outlook. Pat is loved and survived by her children, Sheryl Kennedy of Belding, Dennis Kennedy of Wyoming, Amy (Dan) Hoffman of Grand Rapids; her grand children, Dustin (Molly) Kennedy, Patrick Kennedy, Krystal (Daniel) Kyes, Taylor Kennedy, Tyson Hoffman; her great grand children, Ashlee Kennedy and Kennedy Kyes; her mother, Pauline (Richard) Denton of Florida; her sisters, Beverly Young of Ionia, Donna (Dan) Hannah of Florida and Leeann (Luke) White of Belding. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding, with Pastor Ken Harger officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be given to the B Foundation or Spectrum Health Hospice; envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Private burial will take place at Greene Cemetery, Belding.
