NITA JANE KENNEY
Nita Jane Kenney (DeLauder), 80 passed away Thursday, Jan. 21, 2016, at the Laurels
of Carson City.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Floyd Kenney Jr., both long
time residents of Ionia and Palo. Other loved family member preceding her in death were
her mother, Maggiebelle Keller; father, Glouster DeLauder; stepfather, Gerald Keller;
brother, Jack Delauder; stepsister, Dixie Keller; and many other relatives and friends.

Nita loved her family. Surviving are her step-brother, Charles Keller, and children;
daughter Krista Ramon, sons Gerald, Kevin and Matthew Kenney; daughters-in-law Mel-Lisa and 
Dawn Kenney; grandchildren, Tony Ramon, Jennifer Musser (Husband Robert Musser II),
Geoffrey, Matthew Jr., and Cassandra Kenney; and great-grandchildren, Sandra and 
Michael Musser.

Nita was born Nov. 1, 1934, and grew up in Prospect, Ohio, graduating from Prospect
High School before marrying and moving to Michigan. She loved to travel, never turning
down on offer to go anywhere, but glad to return home. Her passions were cooking and nature.
We will miss those awesome meals during holidays. Flowers, plant and animals were very
much part of her life enjoyments and hobbies. Her best friend and companion Blonnie (her
doggie) was with her many years before Nita became ill, and both had many fun time 
adventures traveling together. Her family has decided to lay her remains to rest
with her husband in the springtime.
