The Ionia County News, Tuesday, March 22, 1927


Mrs. Mary Kenney, 85, well known resident of South Ionia, passed away at her 
home last Friday, following a long illness.  She leaves seven children and had 
been a widow since September 28, 1924, when James Kenney was summoned.

The funeral was held on Monday morning from SS. Peter & Paul church, with Rev. 
Fr. Hugh D. McCarthy in charge.  Interment was made in Mt. Olivet cemetery.  
B. J. Boynton was the officiating undertaker.

The children are: Miss Rosa Kenney of Wajahamega; Mrs. Goodsell and Mrs. 
Robert Trail of Lansing, Mrs. Samuel Douglas, Saginaw; Mrs. Ernest Wheaton, 
Grand Rapids; Henry Kenney of Ionia; and William Kenney of South Ionia.
