MARIAN L. KENNY
 Marian L. Kenny, age 72 of Greenville, formerly Belding, passed away Tuesday 
evening, March 1, 2016 at Spectrum Health-Butterworth hospital in Grand Rapids. 
The daughter of Neil H. & Pauline C. (Patterson) Rasmussen.

On May 28, 1966, in Greenville, she married James D.Kenny and together they raised 
two daughters and would have celebrated their 50th Anniversary this year. Marian 
had been a Girl Scout leader, and enjoyed car shows, classic automobiles, garage 
sales,and trips to the casino, as well as NASCAR racing.

She was preceded in death by her parents. Surviving are her husband, Jim Kenny of 
Greenville; their daughters, Kris and Brian Nylaan of Grand Rapids, and Patty and 
Dan Sweetland of Gowen; two step-daughters, Ashlee Sweetland and Molly Sweetland; 
two sisters and a brother, Betty and Fred Mann of Greenville, Bob and Mary 
Rasmussen of Grand Rapids, and Marie and Pete Hansen of Gowen; two sister-in-law, 
Jo Brown of Greenville, and Pat and John Currigan of Holt; special friends, Les 
and Betty Stinson; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Visitation is Saturday from 2-4 p.m. at Christiansen Cremation & Funeral Care, 511 
S. Franklin St., Greenville. Marian would have appreciated her family and friends 
donation blood in her memory, or giving contributions to Michigan Blood or Gilda's 
Club. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
