The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Saturday, June 19, 2004
Jewell Kenny, 92, of Ionia, went to be with her Lord on June 18, 2004. She was 
born January 10, 1912 in Oxly, Missouri, the daughter of Elmer and Odie Brown. 
She married Gerald Kenny October 7, 1937, who preceded her in death in 1997. 
She was also preceded by her grandson-in-law, Kris David.

Jewell is survived by her son, James (Judy) Kenny of Lansing; brother, Bob 
(Wilma) Brown of Kalamazoo; sister-in-law, Catherine Kenny of Ionia; 
grandchildren, David (Angela) Kenny of Massachusetts, Brian (Gwen) Kenny of 
California, Debbie David of Mason, and Roger (Julie) Kenny of Grand Ledge. She 
is also survived by seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

The Mass of Christian burial will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. Peter 
and Paul Catholic Church in Ionia, with Father Melvin Fox officiating.  
Internment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Lake Funeral 
Home in Ionia Tuesday from 2 to 4p.m. and from 7 to 8:30 p.m. with the praying 
of the Rosary at 8:00. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter and 
Paul Church.
