The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Wednesday, September 29, 1943

Mrs. Herbert Kent, 37, of Belding died Tuesday morning at 11:45 o’clock in the 
Greenville Memorial hospital of Brights disease.  She had been ill and 
confined in the Butterworth hospital for a number of weeks before being 
transferred to the Greenville hospital.

Funeral services are to be conducted from the Fales funeral home at Belding 
Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock, with burial in the River Ridge cemetery at 
Belding.  Mrs. Kent was born in Belding and graduated from Belding high school.

Surviving are the husband, of Belding; three sisters, Mrs. Lucille Binns of 
Greenville and Mrs. Norman Alegaard, also of Greenville, and Mrs. Lena 
Chickering, of Belding.  A brother, Otis Currie, of Belding, and Mrs. Kent’s 
mother, Mrs. Hattie Currier, of Belding also survive.
