The funeral was held from the U. B. church, Wednesday afternoon, Rev. J. L. Ickes officiating, and the services at the church and grave were under the charge of V. O. Bretz Post, G. A. R. Mr. Kent leaves a wife and three sons besides a number of relatives and many friends to mourn his demise. He had been a resident of Lake Odessa for only about two years, coming here with his family from Hastings where he had resided for 16 years, and was a member of Fitzgerald Post, G. A. R., of that city. He saw three years and three months service in the war of the rebellion, as a member of Co. E, 21st Michigan. The remains were interred in Lakeside cemetery.
