Herbert Kent, 72, of Dayton, Ohio, died unexpectedly Sunday morning at a 
hospital in Dayton.

Several years ago Mr. Kent was a resident of Ionia where he was employed at 
several former jewelry stores in the city prior to opening a photography shop 
in the building where the bus station now stands. While here he was a member of 
the national Guard. He left Ionia in 1916 and served in World War I.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Charles McFaden of Ionia, one brother, Earl 
Kent of Dayton, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon in Dayton.
