Hazel Kenter, 80, of 2559 North Jefferson, died Saturday evening at Ionia 
Memorial hospital.

She was born October 18, 1896, the daughter of Robert and Margaret Millen.

She married Stephen Kenter in Sault Ste Marie December 19, 1913. He preceded 
her in death in April, 1976. One son and one daughter also preceded her in 
death.

Mrs. Kenter had lived on North Jefferson since 1936.

Survivors include three sons, Stephen, jr., of Orleans, Lawrence at home and 
Ivan of Red Lands, California, six daughters, Mrs. Esther Morrison of 
Madison Heights, Mrs. Edith Reynolds of Sidney, Mrs. Edna Hatfield of 
Pontiac, Mrs. Doris Aldrich of Middleton, Mrs. Phyllis Diephuis of Byron 
Center, Mrs. Myrtle Schmidt of Minneapolis, Minnesota; two sisters, Mrs. 
Nana Kelly of Alma and Mrs. Pearl Waldorf of Edmore; 20 grandchildren, 12 
great grandchildren and several step-grandchildren and step great-
grandchildren. 

Services are Tuesday at 2 pm at the Myers-Roetman funeral home with Rev. 
Lloyd Walker officiating. 

Burial is in Highland Park cemetery.

The family will be at the funeral home Monday evening.
