May 3, 2001 Richard "Red" Kenyon, 71, of Belding, passed away Monday, April 30, 2001, due to accidental injuries. He was born March 20, 1930, in Ionia, the son of Harry and Esther (Finkbeiner) Kenyon. He married Marlene Seth Jan. 31, 1953, in Ionia. He was a Korean War veteran of the Army. He was a past member of the Ionia Elks Club. He worked as a mechanic for the Ionia County Road Commission from 1968- 1992. He also did auto body work for most of his life. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Marlene Kenyon of Belding; sons, Brian Kenyon of Ionia and Alan (Chris) Kenyon of Lowell; daughters, Susan (Eldon) Groh of Arkansas and Jennifer (Michael) Barker of Belding; brother, Wayne (Nancy) Kenyon of Ionia; brother-in-law, Charlie Fox; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Dorothy Fox. Funeral services are 11 a.m., Saturday at the Lake Funeral Home in Ionia with Rev. Arlo D. Vandlen of Zion United Methodist Church officiating. Interment at Easton Cemetery.
