Kenyon, 83, of route 1, Portland, died Saturday at Ionia Manor. Born October 16, 1890, in Holland he was the son of Henry and Mary Fuller Kenyon. A member of the Portland F & AM Lodge he was a 32nd degree Mason and member of the Scottish Rite and Saladin Shrine of Grand Rapids. He was a retired farmer and he and his wife celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in April 1973 and had received an anniversary card from the now Vice President Gerald Ford. Surviving are his wife, Edna, of Portland; son, Norman of Birmingham; daughter, Mrs. Kathryn Velcheck of Plainwell; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Florence Keefer of Wayne, Mrs. Dorothy Glover of Dearborn and Mrs. Allena Bishop of Lansing. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at Neller funeral home in Portland. Rev. Harold Homer will officiate and interment will be at Portland cemetery. Bearers will be Charles Wright, Robert Holtz, Wayne Gladding, John Shea, Richard Anesi and Elon Lakin.
