WAYNE KENYON 1935-2017
Wayne E. Kenyon, age 81 of Ionia, MI passed away on Jan. 5, 2017. He was born on 
Jan. 25, 1935 in Ionia, MI the son of Harry and Esther (Finkbeiner) Kenyon. 
Wayne married Nancy Hackett on June 5, 1054 in Ionia, MI. He worked for the City 
of Ionia as a Director of Public Utilities for 28 years until retiring in 1997. 
Wayne loved woodworking, making furniture and cabinets. He also loved to hunt 
and fish.

Wayne is survived by his wife, Nancy Kenyon of Ionia; sons, Mark (Sue) Kenyon of 
Ionia, Chris (Deb) Kenyon of Ionia, Scott (Suzanne) Kenyon of Grand Rapids; 
grandchildren, Stacy (Chris) Moore of Ionia, Kristina Kenyon of Ionia, Brad 
Kenyon of Ionia, Carrie (Maurice Williams) Kenyon of Ionia, Stacey (Mark) 
Kamradt of Orleans, Kelly Edwards of Ionia; 15 great-grandchildren; and sister-
in-law, Marlene Kenyon.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Richard Kenyon and sister 
Dorothy fox.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m, Monday, January 9th 10:30 a.m. at the Lake 
Funeral Home in Ionia with Pastor Kenneth Harger officiating. Visitation will be 
Sunday 1-3 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. at the Funeral home. Those wishing may make 
memorials contributions to Heartland Health care or Ionia commission on Aging.
