During the progress of a phonograph concert that Keeper Gaffney was giving on Sunday night for the pleasure of the inmates, Frank made his escape, (as he has done at numerous other times), and early this morning was found by Ed. Patrick, in Berlin township, in the road nearby, chilled almost into insensibility after wandering about three miles. Mr. Patrick, who knew the man, hooked up a single rig, with the intention of taking Frank back to the poor farm. The escape was placed in the buggy and Mr. Patrick started for the infirmary, but had scarcely made the start when Frank gasped convulsively, and the end had come. Coroner H. C. Clark was summoned and went to the Patrick home, and after inquiring into the case, decreed that an inquest was not necessary. The remains were soon thereafter returned to the county house by Keeper Gaffney, who accompanied Coroner Clark on the out trip, arriving there at 1:30 this afternoon. Deceased was sent to County house from Portland township. He has an aunt living near Portland, and a brother somewhere in this state, and the remains will be held a day or two, awaiting the arrival of the relatives if they can be located.
