The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Wednesday, October 31, 1962

Mrs. Laura R. Kepner, 90, former Lake Odessa resident, died at Walters Rest 
home, route three, Portland, Tuesday noon.  She had lived at the home five 
months and had previously lived with Mrs. Elsie Gilliland of Lake Odessa and 
in Clarksville.

Mrs. Kepner was born January 15, 1872 in Hancock county, Ohio, the daughter of 
Eleazer and Mary Thoma Bosserman.  She lived for many years on Jordan Lake 
avenue where her husband, Amos Kepner, died in 1943.  Mrs. Kepner was a member 
of Hope Church of the Brethren.

She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Alice Donaldson of Jenera, Ohio; and a niece 
and nephew, Laura and Calvin Tombaugh of Lansing.

Funeral service will be conducted at Pickens funeral chapel at 1:30 Thursday 
afternoon with burial at Lakeside cemetery.  The Rev. Conrad Snavely, pastor 
of Hope Church of the Brethren, will officiate.
