KEPNER, FORMER LAKE ODESSA RESIDENT DIES Set Out Boulevard Trees - Dug Own Grave A quiet unusual man was George Kepner of Woodland but who for many years lived in Lake Odessa. Mr.Kepner lived int he home now occupied by Mr and Mrs Jame Reed on north Sixth avenue. He was a good citizen ever living up to what he believed was right. His wife died several years ago and since then he has lived with his daughter Mrs. Cora Shopbell in Woodland. Mr.Kepner set out the trees on the boulevard of this village. He prepared his lot in the cemetery here 17 years ago buying a stone and preparing stone vaults for the remains of himself and his wife. These were refilled to await the coming of death when they were opened and their occupants laid to rest. Aside from Mrs. Shopbell he leaves another daughter, Mrs Laura Dorman of Petoskey. The funeral was held Wednesday at Woodland and burial at Lakeside.
