Lake Odessa - Wave - Times - April 22, 1943
          AMOS KEPNER DIED AT HIS HOME APRIL 14

                                      -----------

   After several weeks of illness, Amos Kepner passed away at his home on Wednesday
of last week at the age 
of 75 years.

   He was born July 1867 in Medina county, Ohio, and came to Michigan when a young
man settling on a farm 
in Berlin township. He moved to the village four or five years ago

   He was a long time member of the Brethren church.

   Besides his wife he leaves a half brother Charles of Carson City and a half
sister Mrs. Ann Upham at 
Middleton.

   The funeral was held at the local Calvary UB church Saturday with the Rev. Harley
V. Townsent of Woodland 
preaching the sermon, and a quartet of singers from the Friends church in Campbell
furnished the musical 
numbers. Burial was in Lakeside cemetery.
