He was born July 1867 in Medina county, Ohio, and came to Michigan when a young man settling on a farm in Berlin township. He moved to the village four or five years ago He was a long time member of the Brethren church. Besides his wife he leaves a half brother Charles of Carson City and a half sister Mrs. Ann Upham at Middleton. The funeral was held at the local Calvary UB church Saturday with the Rev. Harley V. Townsent of Woodland preaching the sermon, and a quartet of singers from the Friends church in Campbell furnished the musical numbers. Burial was in Lakeside cemetery.
