Sentinel-Std. - Monday, Jan. 23, 1978

WOODLAND- Ms. Emily Kerby, 90, of 188 South Main, Woodland, formerly of 
Lafollette, Tennessee, died Sunday morning at her home.

She was born January 1, 1879 in Hickory Valley, Tennessee, the daughter of 
William and Katherine Owensby, and attended schools in Hickory Valley.

She married John Kerby in Tennessee in 1899.

She was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Ida Cook of Woodland; Mrs. Rosa Floyd 
of Springfield, Ohio and Ms. Cleo Anderson of Lafollette, Tennessee. one son, 
Johnny of Springfield, Ohio, 19 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and one 
great-great grandson. 

Services are Thursday from the Martin funeral home in Lafollette, Tennessee 
with burial in Smith Chapel cemetery in Pleasant Hill, Tennessee.

a prayer service will beheld Monday at 7:30 pm at the Pickens-Koops funeral 
chapel with Rev. Doyle Passmore officiating.
