Peter Kern died at his home near Kiddville, Sunday, aged 85 years 3 months and 13 
days.  He was born in Madison county, N. Y., and came to this place in 1867.  His 
wife and sons, Jerome and Riley Kern survive him.  Rev. B. V. Child officiated at 
the funeral services held at the house, Tuesday.
