The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Friday, August 17, 1951

Word was received in Ionia Thursday morning of the death of Mrs. Venna 
Engleman Kerstetter, 72, of Redlands, Calif.  She was a former Ionian.  The 
body will arrive in Grand Rapids Monday, Aug. 20, at 10:15 p.m. and will be 
brought to the Myers funeral home.  Services will be conducted Wednesday at 10 
a.m. at the St. John’s Episcopal church.  Interment will be in Highland Park 
cemetery.

She was born in Ionia Jan. 26, 1879, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Abe 
Engleman. She graduated from Ionia high school in 1897, and married Eugene 
Kerstetter of Ionia in 1905.  Since leaving Ionia about 20 years ago, they 
have made their home in California.  They have been back to Ionia to visit 
several times, the last in 1949.

She is survived by her husband.
