Daily Standard - Thursday, Sept. 24, 1908

Mrs. J. H. Kerstetter, whose health has been most precarious the recent 
months, died at the farm home in Orleans township, near Haynor, at 2:30 
o'clock this morning, and in her death on of the truly good women, one of 
those who made the world better and easier to tread for having lived in it, 
has gone to her sure reward. She was many years a resident of Ionia city, 
where her kindly spirit and true neighborly qualities were known and 
appreciated. Deceased was born in Windsor, Canada, and was aged 54 years at 
the time of her demise. The husband and three children, Mrs. C. E. Verstine 
of Detroit, Eugene of this city and Miss Florence who lived at home, are 
left to mourn the loss of the good mother, and by special favor, all were at 
the bedside when the light of her life went out. Funeral at the home on 
Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment in Highland Park.
