Edith F. Kessler, 81, of Belding, passed away Friday evening March 28, 2003 at 
United Memorial Health Center in Greenville.  She was born on April 17, 1921 
on Pelee Island, Ontario, Canada, the daughter of William and Elizabeth 
Fitchen Mogg.  Edith came to the United States in April of 1946.

She had retired from Chrysler Corporation, Lyons Trim Plant.  She was married 
on April 21, 1946 in Detroit to Joe Kessler and he preceded her in death in 
1989.  Edith was also preceded by her parents, a son Craig in 1974, and her 
brother, Harry Mogg, in 1998.  She is survived by her children, Linda Kessler 
of Belding, Diane Kessler of Grand Rapids and Richard and Dorothy Kessler of 
Grand Rapids.  Edith is also survived by a brother-in-law, William Kessler of 
Arizona and a sister-in-law, Joanne Kessler of Ft. Wayne, Indiana.

Funeral services were Monday at the Chapel of Rest Haven Memory Gardens 
Cemetery in Belding with the Rev. Dr. Dick Woodward officiating.  Interment 
will follow the service in Rest Haven Memory Gardens.

Memorial contributions may be made to First Congregational Church or the 
Belding Museum.  The family is being served by Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral 
Home, Belding.
