Joe H. Kessler, 78, of 6300 E. Belding Road, Belding, died Thursday at his 
residence.  He was born July 30, 1910 in Auburn, Indiana.  He was a veteran of 
WWII and a member of the Hugo-Fales Post 203 Belding American Legion.

Surviving are his wife, Edith of Belding; two daughters, Linda Kessler and 
Diane Kessler, both of Belding; one son, Richard Kessler of Kentwood; three 
sisters, Gerry Jones and Margaret Flood, both of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, and Ruth 
McLoughlin of Vancouver, Wash.; two brothers, William Kessler of Ft. Wayne, 
Indiana and Orin Kessler of Arizona.  One son, Craig, preceded him in death in 
1973.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Huffman Funeral Home, the 
Rev. Dick Woodward officiating.  Burial will be in Rest Haven Memory Gardens 
of Belding.  Friends may visit the family at the funeral home Friday from 7 to 
9 p.m.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Belding museum or the First 
Congregational Church of Belding.
