Ionia County News - Thursday, May 14, 1931

Mrs. Mary Kester, who died Saturday in Saranac, was born in Ohio in 146. She 
passed away after a long illness. 

Mrs. Kester leaves one daughter, Mrs. Sadie Dodge, one grandson and two 
grandchildren, all of Saranac and one brother, John Lowman, of Indiana. She was 
a member of the O.E.S. 

The funeral was held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the home on Vosper 
street. Rev. F. E. George of Grand Rapids, officiating. Burial was in the 
Saranac cemetery. Services at the cemetery were in charge of the O.E.S.

MRS. MARY KESTER
Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Kester, 85, a resident of Boston township the 
past 45 years who died Saturday were held Monday from the home in Saranac under 
auspices of the Order of Eastern Star. Mrs. Kester was born in Ohio.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Sadie Dodge; one grandson, Harvey Dodge; a 
brother, J. W. Lowman, of North Manchester, Ind., and two great-grandchildren.
