Winnifred Kestner, 90, of Belding, passed away Saturday, March 25, 2006, at
Metron of Belding Nursing Home.  Winnifred was born July 3, 1915, in Kent
County, the daughter of John and Jenny Moreland Jousma.

Winnifred was married Jan. 16, 1930, in Alaska, Mich., to Owen Ellis.  In
earlier years she and Owen owned a barber shop in Lowell.  Owen preceded her in
death on Nov. 21, 1990.  She later married Harold Kestner in Greenville on Aug.
6, 1991.  She attended Community of Christ Church in Greenville.  She loved to
bowl in Lowell and enjoyed cooking.

Winnifred was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Vern Jousma; and
sisters, Sara Batdorff, Lorraine Lautenschlager.  Winnifred is survived by her
husband, Harold; their children, Joy and John Busch of Hastings, Marva and Al
Andrews of Fremont, Calif., Arthur and Maxine Kestner of Gowen, Polly Kestner of
Silver Springs, Fla.; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; eight
great-great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Jack and Dorothy Jousma of
Florida, Ray and Darlene Jousma of Caledonia, Howard and Shirley Jousma of
Florida, Bill and Barb Jousma of Caledonia, Adrianna and Jim Crampton of
Florida; two brothers-in-law, John Batdorff, Edward Lautenschlager; and
sister-in-law, Elaine Jousma.

Celebration of life services are 2 p.m. Thursday at Community of Christ Church,
Greenville, with Elder Varian Bauman officiating.  Interment has taken place in
Alaska Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of Michigan.
