He was born Feb. 10, 1924, in Alfredton, Va., the son of Arthur and Olga Creed Kestner. Harold loved gardening and canning and made the best salsa. Harold son claimed him to be “The Salsa King.” His salsa could be purchased in the Belding area at M-91 Tire. Harold was preceded in death by his wife, Winnifred, on March 25, 2006; his parents; and his sisters Meredith England and Ida Mae Jones. Harold is survived by his children, Arthur and Maxine Kestner of Gowen, Polly Kestner of Silver Springs, Fla.; his grandchildren, Cory and Sarah Kestner, Gentry Kestner, Celena Kestner, Breanna Kestner, Dacota Kestner; his stepchildren, Joy and John Busch of Hastings, Marva and Al Andrews of Fremont, Calif.; and many other loving step grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Family and friends may gather to share memories of Harold and his life from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding. In keeping with Harold’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal services will take place. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Michigan.
